The incorrigible tramps band

I recorded these songs using all homemade instruments and my super cool son Alex edited these videos to show me playing them all at the same time.

Blue Suede Shoes was originally written and recorded by Carl Perkins in 1955. It has since been covered by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash the Greatful dead and even Jimi Hendrix. It's a great rocker and one of my favorite songs ever. This version was recorded using all home made instruments which are shown in the performance. Suitcase drum, copper and brass disc hi-hat mounted on a sledgehammer handle, plank (barnwood) guitar, wine box bass guitar with dogbowl resonator and table leg end pin.

My babe is just one of many incredible songs written by the amazing Willie Dixon in 1955.

Man 1955 was certainly an amazing time in music history.

This rendition was recorded using 100% home made instruments.

Lawdy Miss Clawdy was written and recorded by New Orleans legend Lloyd Price in 1952.  Another famous New Orlean musician by the name of Fats Domino is also heard playing on the original recording.
