    Neck through or not?

in 4 String Cigar Box Guitar

I only build ”neck through” style guitars about 20% of the time. The rest of the time I build a type of bolt on style of neck. If you have read my overview of how i build redonator guitars then you will see what I mean. This bolt on style allows the guitar to fully resonate and provide a nice hollowbody tone. Here is a video of Justin Johnson playing one of my four string guitars. This guitar does not even have a seperate fretboard. It is just one solid piece of wood that I fretted.

What is your favorite style of neck?

I haven’t built many with bolt on style necks, but it’s definitely something I want to try more of.
